Review: A Beautiful Lie (Playing with Fire #1) by Tara Sivec

Garrett McCarthy, Annabelle Parker, and Milo Roberts were as close as friends could get. They shared in each other's joy during graduations, promotions, and engagements. They consoled one another through heartache and loss.

When one of the friend's life is tragically cut short, it's up to the two left behind to pick up the pieces and find out the truth - no matter the cost. As they slowly start to uncover the nature of his deception, and the very powerful people behind it, they begin to question everyone and everything, even themselves.

Everyone has secrets - some do it for love while others do it for power. Those secrets can change perceptions, alter reality and sometimes destroy lives.

I gave this book 5 stars! I'm stingey with my stars. I laughed and cried. It kept me up all night! I had butterflies and couldn't put it down!

I never read her Chocolate Lovers series but the cover caught my eye with this one. I am a huge fan of Okay Creations covers.
This book is written in third person, which I thought would be weird but I loved it! I loved being in everyone's heads and seeing every aspect of the story play out.

Parker had known Garret and Milo for eight years now. There's and strong connection with Garret as soon as they see each other. But fear of getting hurt makes her chose Milo. He was the safe one and she knows he doesn't have the ability to wreak and break her like she knows Garrett could.

After Milo is killed in a secret Military mission, the two are left grieving and wanting answers. Garrett's military background makes him loyal, almost to a fault. He still holds back his feelings for Parker and feels guilty for loving his best freind's girl.

This books is filled with heat and passion! And I mean HOT! We are thrown into mysteries and top secret mission and double agents! It was exciting and action filled and let be honest, romance stories usually lack this. I found myself dying to finish the book and finally get all the clues together.

I always love in a story when there's a secret you are trying to find out. It keeps me turning the page. This book is loaded with them and it was like heaven! There's secrets and more secrets and lies and bigger secrets and lies. There is twist after twist and it left me spinning.

This could be made into a movie! Better yet, a tv series! I would watch!

Warning: Do NOT start chapter 18 or so unless you are prepared to keep reading to the end. It's non stop and you can't put it down till your done.
